Boba sendiri pada dasarnya adalah bola-bola yang terbuat dari tepung tapioka yang biasanya menjadi isian atau topping dari minuman manis<em>.\u00a0<\/em>Saking ngetrendnya, kini tidak hanya dijadikan isian atau\u00a0<em>topping\u00a0<\/em>pada minuman, tapi juga dijadikan topping pada makanan, mulai dari kue dan bahkan makanan asin seperti mie instan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jika melihat boba dari sejarah, boba mulai hits setelah diperkenalkan oleh Liu Han \u2013 Chieh, pemilik toko teh asal Taiwan bernama \u201cChung Shui Tang\u201d di Taichung, Taiwan. Taiwan sendiri telah terkenal dengan tehnya yang miliki kualitas yang baik dan boba merupakan snack di sana yang sudah ada sejak 20 tahun lalu. Boba sebenarnya adalah makanan penutup tradisional yang disebut \u201cFen Yuan\u201d, yaitu pudding tapioka dengan rasa manis yang biasanya disajikan dengan es air gula, kemudian orang Taiwan menuangkan bola tapioka ke dalam es teh sebagai tambahan untuk menikmati teh.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Semakin banyaknya gerai minuman dengan topping boba membuat setiap produk ini harus bersaing satu sama lain, salah satu cara yang digunakan para&nbsp;<em>brand&nbsp;<\/em>boba untuk bisa tetap dikenal dan bersaing dengan produk lainnya adalah dengan menggunakan media sosial. Keberadaan media sosial saat ini banyak digunakan oleh para&nbsp;<em>brand&nbsp;<\/em>di bidang apapun untuk bisa berkomunikasi dengan netizen dan bahkan dijadikan media promosi untuk produk yang dimiliki. Di sini saya mencoba untuk memonitoring delapan&nbsp;<em>brand&nbsp;<\/em>boba yang ada di Indonesia, yaitu Chatime, Kokumi, Gulu-Gulu, Tiger Sugar, Xing Fu Tang, Street Boba, Xiboba dan KOI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Konten Entertainment Lebih disukai Pecinta Boba<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Berdasarkan pemantauan saya selama periode waktu 19 September \u2013 19 Oktober menggunakan Dashboard NoLimit Indonesia, konten dengan tipe&nbsp;<em>Entertainment&nbsp;<\/em>yang diunggah oleh Chatime menjadi konten yang paling disukai oleh netizen, dimana postingan ini mendapatkan total engagement sebesar 41.866 engagement. Apa itu konten dengan tipe&nbsp;<em>Entertainment?&nbsp;<\/em>Konten&nbsp;<em>entertainment&nbsp;<\/em>sendiri merupakan konten berupa kegiatan menarik, konten viral, trivia, meme\/komik, dan konten&nbsp;<em>throwback.<\/em>&nbsp;Konten yang diunggah oleh Chatime seperti ini memang biasanya lebih banyak menarik perhatian netizen, mengingat konten permainan seperti ini cukup seru dan menarik untuk diikuti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-instagram wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-embed-handler\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CGCWjxOB5va\/\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Selain konten yang diunggah untuk menjalin komunikasi dengan netizen, media sosial juga dijadikan media promosi. Hal ini dapat terlihat dari banyaknya postingan berisi informasi terkait promo yang diadakan para&nbsp;<em>brand&nbsp;<\/em>boba. Xiboba menjadi produk yang memiliki konten promosi dengan&nbsp;<em>engagement&nbsp;<\/em>tertinggi yaitu sebesar 4.593 engagement. Promonya sendiri berupa potongan harga hingga 50% dalam rangka Promo XIJI x XI BO BA x GrabFood Party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-instagram wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-embed-handler\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CFbSDCNhTW7\/\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diskon Merupakan Promo Favorit Pecinta Boba<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Selain memonitoring pembicaraan secara keseluruhan, saya juga mencoba untuk memonitoring pembicaraan terkait promo boba yang ada di media sosial. Ternyata pembicaraan terkait promo boba yang ada di media sosial juga didominasi oleh Chatime, hal ini memperlihatkan bahwa meskipun konten promo yang diunggah oleh Xiboba mendapatkan&nbsp;<em>engagement&nbsp;<\/em>paling tinggi, promo Chatime lebih banyak dibicarakan di media sosial. Konten promo yang dibuat oleh Chatime sendiri berupa voucher belanja setiap minimal pembelanjaan 50.000 rupiah.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-instagram wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-embed-handler\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CFhAF_Shk8a\/\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Jenis promo yang digunakan oleh tiap&nbsp;<em>brand&nbsp;<\/em>pun beragam, mulai dari diskon, voucher belanja, buy 1 get 1, sampai promo&nbsp;<em>free topping<\/em>. Sementara itu, jenis promo yang paling disukai netizen adalah diskon, disusul oleh Buy 1 Get 1 dan selanjutnya Buy 2 Get 1.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Chatime, Xiboba dan Gulu-Gulu Paling Populer di Media Sosial<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tidak hanya memonitoring konten media sosial para brand boba, saya juga memonitoring pembicaraan terkait beberapa&nbsp;<em>brand&nbsp;<\/em>boba ini di media sosial.&nbsp;&nbsp;Selama kurun waktu satu bulan, jika dilihat secara keseluruhan, Chatime menjadi produk yang paling banyak dibicarakan di media sosial, disusul oleh Xiboba dan selanjutnya Gulu-Gulu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pembicaraan terkait Chatime mengalami peningkatan pada tanggal 14 Oktober, hal ini dikarenakan banyaknya partisipasi netizen terhadap aktivasi yang diadakan oleh Chatime, dimana Chatime melaksanakan aktivasi berupa tebak harga salah satu varian rasa yang akan segera dirilis. Partisipasi terhadap trivia, keinginan netizen untuk mengonsumsi Chatime dan varian rasa yang dimiliki Chatime juga mendominasi pembicaraan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hazelnut Milk Tea Varian Andalan Netizen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hazelnut Milk Tea menjadi varian rasa Chatime yang paling banyak dibicarakan di media sosial. Selain itu, varian rasa brown sugar, matcha milk tea, roasted milk tea, dan pure cocoa juga banyak dibicarakan oleh netizen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nah, kalo kalian lebih suka brand boba mana dan varian apa?
